The Freedom
An automatic five ultrasonic position cleaning machine
The most affordable automatic ultrasonic on the market.
USA Made
After years of development "The Freedom" has been selling strongly.
It has five ultrasonic positions in the 64mm, is fully automatic, can save programmed run cycles for fast access - and can run any permutation of cleaning and rinsing you want, particularly with the extra position. The unit can also run without the ultrasonic action for those super delicate items, and easily will handle the likely upcoming necessary non-ultrasonic runs.
The unit comes with a generous set of non-scratch baskets, and within the permutations of your stacks can easily work with Bergeron small parts holders.
At 64mm the Freedom uses less solution due to its jar size allowing for some savings, but because of the additional position you can split the cleaning load allowing the possibility of longer runs before having to change out the cleaning and rinses.
The unit has been out long enough it has proven itself reliable. The cleaning results are excellent and the drying cycle is well-rated, but you can run an extra dry easily if desired.
Time Machibe Repair has also encouraged Lititz to produce extra external cage baskets as well as extra trays so large shops can quickly transition between jobs and watchmakers.
The Freedom also seems to be doing a very good job of staying cool, far better than other units. This allows for less concern about the temperature of the ultrasonics and the solution. (We do not know how the fixed/sealed door version that is coming soon might affect this observation as there might understandably be more internal heat retention in the closed environment.) But in shops where running the open design is possible it has definitely allowed for almost constant use.
The current vent kit is not compliant to EU standards but does provide assistance for those that are venting the room to use the fan/hose to direct the air flow.
It also provides doors that can be used to protect the machine from accidents - something catching on it while it's running, or something getting jammed into it.
Unlike, say a Tempo 400 cleaning machine, which might be fully open but is flush and sealed as it turns.
The Freedom unit seems to confuse people who see the tall back and forget that's the only side. The unit is also more exposed as it turns.
We recommend that those without the optional placement doors do keep the unit out of the flow of traffic and well away from the rouge clouds of polishing.
We hope that the new fixed sealed door version will be finished soon. The changes on that unit are what we have been waiting for to submit for contract approval.
But it is our hope that the always less expensive version without doors will be okayed by Omega for the American market that doesn't need to vent their units.
Only time will tell and this test will happen soon.
There is a fully developed 80mm unit as well that does take the positions down to 4 and does offer fewer basket/tray configurations, but is a more similar experience for our European friends.
Either unit can run with either power set up but it is not convertible, you would have to specify if you didn't want US power so it could be assembled that way.
Lititz has done an amazing job keeping this unit, all its units in fact, available through COVID. But not all units in all configurations are available all the time. However given there have been almost no European units available for quite some time, Lititz keeping its units purchasable has been impressive.
While the Freedom more than matches the competition it has still been in development and refinement. Right now Time Machine Repair is unaware of any manufacturer that has tested the unit; in fact to our knowledge it hasn't actually been submitted to anyone.
We at Time Machine Repair are aware of only one remaining adjustment needed to make the unit acceptable for any country and any manufacturer and that refinement is currently in the works.
When that change is ready TMR has plans to submit the unit to Rolex and Omega.
This is the most affordable automatic ultrasonic cleaning machine available new and shortly we believe everyone will be able to buy it.
Reviews from owners since its debut have been strong and enthusiastic. The only hitch has been compliance and believe me, TMR takes your needs seriously. We have been pushing Lititz to finish the work on a unit we can get approved, and we think we are just about there.
We believe the plans and people are all in place to get the Freedom contract compliant and are hoping to do so shortly, especially since there is such a shortage of units to purchase. So stay tuned.
But if you don't need a unit for contract work, why go overseas when you can buy USA and know if at any point you needed any assistance, there are two service centers now. Lititz themselves is based in Florida and Don Sutton (yes TMR's own Don) now has his own company, running completely separate from Time Machine Repair, which is not only handling in and out of warranty service, but that is providing the assembly and distribution for The Freedom.
Of course anyone with a Freedom from anywhere can contact us with questions as always trying to help.

As a family business we don't have the mark-ups of our more corporate competitors and that works out well for you. If you get a written estimate elsewhere that is for a new, regularly listed Freedom, we will find a way to beat it. Just call 609-374-5880 or email your inquiry to service@timemachinerepair.com. (Currently please use laura@timemachinerepair.com - service@ needs some support service of its own.
We have listed this machine on eBay from time to time, but if you see it there understand I cannot make deals or large discounts with that listing. It is prohibited by eBay to try and go around them in messages so you should just inquire here. There is also a significant financial loss to us for any unit that sells on eBay so if you want the best pricing, you have to buy direct.
I have recently learned I cannot have any Lititz unit held for me while a customer completes a layaway or gathers there money - I apologize for this inconvenience. I still do not intend to look into financing as that would raise your costs and I am continuing to offer a variety of payment methods that do allow some additional discounts.
Please contact me for options and availability and hopefully we can sell you the unit in a manner that works for you from available inventory.
Again I apologize to all those that have become accustomed to our flexibility to spread your payments out, but this change in policy is something I was just informed about so I am still trying to find solutions.
Shipping is of course additional.
There is also a $200 surcharge on the 80MM units for the additional costs in the jars and more limited turntables - this makes the 80mm list $7895 but we will be selling them for $7195.
BOTH 64MM and 80MM units can be ordered for manufacture in 110v or 220v but I have no control over delivery and while I will happily accept your order and place it with Lititz, I will not request or accept payment until I am certain the unit is ready to ship.
I have difficulty tying up people's money when there's an unspecified future delivery date. Things can change and I believe people need the ability to change their obligations if needed.
